YAZMINA RAIES TRÍO

It is a proposal of tango and rioplatense music, with the purpose of making visible the new roots music made by women.

We seek to repair the gender memory in the artistic/musical creation that historically was occupied by men, promoting sisterhood with the new generations of women creators and managers.

Since 2018 when the trio emerged on the scene, it has continued its activities uninterruptedly until today, incorporating new elements such as percussion and a repertoire more fused with other sonorities: jazz, tango, candombe, classical, etc.

In 2022 the trio made its first international tours in the United States and Uruguay. The opportunity of these tours, gave rise to create a more complete and multifaceted proposal that includes:

  • Live show
  • Interpretation workshops
  • Talk on the historical absence of women instrumentalists in traditional music.
